Guns n Roses - Don't Cry

Words cannot express how much I adore this song - 'Don't Cry'. Simply one of the best song Guns n Roses ever did, IMO.

Its about the break-up of a relationship, as you may guess, but its about the man knowing how the girl feels inside - and he understands that she needs to make the break with him. He tells her...'don't cry', reminding her that he will still be thinking of her and that he still loves her. He tells her that there is a 'heaven above her'....a beautiful metaphor for there being so many more wonderful things in store for her, even though he wont be there. Wow, what a song.

I guess the beauty of Axl Rose...his unabated passion and raw sex appeal just make the song even more powerful (not to mention the awsome guitar solo from Slash). Axl's voice is unparrelled to any I have heard, honestly - he just makes me shiver with how goddamn intense he is.

Anyway, talking of beautiful and intense....let me just remind you of what i'm talking about. Hell guys like this should come with a warning or something. Sweet Jesus...
